is the test.file file in the attachments folder?
If not use the test link in the cp.
CP>master settings>paths&database
Absolute PATH to Attachment Storage Directory
Select the test directory under the path.
If successful it will create a file named test.file in that folder as well as a prompt that it passed.
It looks for that file when making an attachment.
So I would also check for the file to actually exist.
