Here is the changelog which outlines the changes in 6.2.

Fundamentally - what the user will notice most, is instead of the post icons turning orange when the post is new... the icons will remain the same color.... and instead the whole row will highlight. This allows you to add whatever post icons you want... you no longer need to have an icon in 2 different colors.

You can use your same stylesheets but you will need add a few new classes to each one. (See the upgrading.html document for the new classes). These classes are what enable the new posts to "highlight" so if you don't add them, you won't have any idea what's new.

I'd overwrite the standard infopop ones, and add the classes to any custom sheets you've created.

Also the way users can choose to have posts emailed to them has changed substantially. It's now tied to the "favorite thread" feature.

My "how to" library at Threadsdev has been updated with info for 6.2. See the link in my signature. You might want to post some of those documents (related to 6.2) to help your users adjust.
