This is one of those bugs that should have been fixed but unforunately hasn't been. If you open up the altertable-6.5.php file in the install directory and look at line 679, you see this

C_Number MEDIUMINT(8) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY AUTO_INCREMENT DEFAULT '0',

That should be:

C_Number MEDIUMINT(8) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY AUTO_INCREMENT,
