Gizmo sumed it up pretty good. I'd say things are moving along pretty good. Definitely can't give a date, but I don't think there are any major fundamental flaws that are going to slow things down majorly. It's just a matter of people getting a chance to test it and then get the bugs fixed.
7.0 has been a long wait, so will be pushing to get it finished as soon as possible, without taking any shortcuts and releasing something half-baked
