NEVER, EVER move and upgrade at the same time. ALWAYS do one, then the other, but not both at the same time! EVER.

I'd suggest upgrading the old first, then copying the entire board over. Since your new one is already working, copy everything but the vars_config.cgi file which contains your absolute paths / URLs.
