It's really problematic to try to share member files among different .classic boards because the
posting history stores forum number and topic number (which would conflict across different boards), and you've got issues with admins/mods across the boards (what if someone is a mod on one board and just a regular joe on the other?), not to mention private forums...
One potential solution could be to move over to UBB.threads, keep your single member base, and display the categories on separated pages (see the instruction here:
http://www.infopop.com/support/ubbthreads/UBBTadmin.html#_Toc6907051) . Of course, remember that .threads is an entirely different message board than .classic, so it's got lots of other differences, but it might be something for you to consider...
