You can remove all the graphics you don't use, and all the JC Templates and avatars if you don't use them. That'll free most of what can be freed, all other cgi and pl is necessary and you shouldn't delete any. (Those are mainly small files anyway, you wouldn't gain any space worth mentioning.)
Don't worry about deleting images, if you delete something too much you can always reupload it back with no consequences.
