When I click general settings I get a file not found.

BASE HREF is not correct, and I couldn't find your cgi directory either.

it should have read in the BASE HREF line cgi.bin, but it read cgi-bin <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

would that have been the problem.????

If it doesnt work, i call allways PM the FTP details <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> AGAIN

There is no cgi-bin directory on your server. As you said in your post, there is a cgi.bin directory. Did you create the directory yourself, as it does not have ExecCGI turned on for it? Create a cgi-bin directory and try running the scripts from there.

I accidently deleted the cgi.bin dir <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

SO i then made 1 myself, i thought it would work, but i guess not

I have E.mailed eric @ the hosting comapny, and asked him if he can sort it out

Be sure to finish General Settings with the sendmail or smtp path, forum names, etc.
