At www.obanions.com I am running version 5.47b of the ubb. This was an upgrade from the free version though I am not sure I followed all the instructions exactly, though the board itself seems to be functioning correctly. When I go to the control panel and click on "Style Settings" I get a netscape error that reads:

"The document contained no data. Try again later or contact the server's administrator".

Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

It is difficult, if not completely impossible to properly diagnose most UBB problems without knowing which version of the UBB you are using, as well as the EXACT URL to your Ultimate.cgi, (NOT a link to your webpage). Please provide this information. Thanks. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Visit the Style Settings cpanel in IE - you should get a blank screen. Just need to verify this.

edgenerate, I am anxiously awaiting a reply just as you are. I have exactly the same problem after updating from the freeware version. Everything works fine except for the Styles settings. I get a blank page. If someone can help, you can get to my Ultimate.cgi here: http://whs64.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi.

Delete the Styles.file that is on the server and upload a clean copy from the licensed UBB zip. Ensure the upload is in ASCII, and that it's set to mode 777.

That MIGHT fix the problem.

If it doesn't, post back here. Fan2, if that doesn't work for you, please repost your problem in a new thread, and do read the posting guidelines on why you shouldn't me-too.

Charles,

I tried the new copy, uploaded it in ASCII, and set it to 777. I received the same message with Netscape.

D'OH!

I'm going to ask you to use the support ticket system for further support for this issue. Infopop will need to examine your UBB.
