If someone doesn't have a homepage, then no icon is displayed over their posts. Fine.

But for some icons, a space is put there instead. This makes it look bad when one icon is missing. It looks much worse when they also have PM off, etc.

The $email_link is equal to '& nbsp;' when not displayed as are a few others.

All the code for these icons needs to be fixed to look like this.

In ubb_lib_posting.cgi:
<pre> # homepage link?
.
.
.
} else {
$homepage_link = '';
}</pre>

That way, the icons are properly spaced however many are displayed.

Hope to see this in 6.1.0.4. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

The odd spacing is the currently designed behavior.

If you weren't going to explain, then why reply?

Is there any good reason to keep the 'currently designed behavior'?

Yes, because it is the designed behavior. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The space is intentional. It's done on purpose.

I'm getting the feeling that the reason is a secret.

Is 'Why?' an inappropriate question?

Why? Because. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

In 6.0, the spacing was even more sporadic. It was decided to add spacing elsewhere rather than remove it from the icons that inserted it. This results in space being added for missing icons.

This IS the designed behavior. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
