I know, that's what I said, it can't just disappear. But it did.
Yes, the previously-poll now appears as a totally regular topic with no sign of the poll ever being there. If I didn't see it there before with my own eyes I'd say it was impossible, but there you go. The only thing that happened with that poll was that an admin edited in a text comment. So I was wondering if it's possible that that later text insertion overwrote the poll ID, which normally doesn't show up in the edit post box. That'd be the only explanation I can think of.
But then again, we've similarly edited polls before but it never removed the actuall poll...
