Not sure if this is bug or not. I've checked eveything on my end and found nothing wrong so far.

Every now any then I get bombarded with e-mails from our AOL members stating their IP address has been banned. I haven't even banned anyone prior to this happening. Sometimes they report the same IP address and sometimes the IP addresses are all different. What gives?!?! <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Thanks in advance...

The only way that an AOL user would be banned is if someone added a block of AOL's IP addresses to your IP Ban list in your control panel. Make sure you don't have any of their IP blocks listed.

Even one blocked AOL IP could cause this problem... AOL uses very, very aggressive caching proxies, so one banned IP would propogate the cached banned message to other proxies.

Any suggestions (other than using the e-mail list) for banning AOL IP addresses? TIA

You might want to try membership moderation - that way you can screen users by their IP addresses on the way in.
