I like the fact that one can just type www.yahoo.com and have it become a hyperlink automatically.

However, can it parse out any tailing punctuation that screws up the link like in www.yahoo.com, or www.yahoo.com? (Or what about www.yahoo.com)? Etc...

I agree... It should remove ?, ., ",", ) in the end of the URL, even though it will make some URLs malfunction (and make those users use tag).

We will not fix this one - commas and other puncuation are quite legal in URLs. The autolinker can and will not attempt to make a distinction between the URL and the rest.

If you don't want the rest to be URLized, then use the <a href="" target="_blank"> tag or put a space at the end of the URL.
