First- I was creating a private forum, but made it only with a password, without checking the box of making it private. The problem is that the members were never asked for a password, they just got in and posted. I checked the box but it turned to completely private (only admins, mods and authorized users). Any bug in v6.5? In an older version I have tried this and it worked fine, now it doesn't.
Btw, I have not installed any hacks since I upgraded to 6.5 release.
Secont- Recently I was told by moderators that a topic couldn't be opened at all, so I went to open it and the browser said the page couldn't be displayed (like I was off the internet).
I ftp-ed in the server and saw that the topic even though having only 11 posts, it was over 2.8 MB huge, while another topic with over 1800 posts was about 400 KB. I downloaded the cgi topic in my computer and saw that a member has posted four posts with in total 2807334 letters (lot of words). You do the math. (I have the 2.8 MB file in my computer; if you want me to upload it compressed and zipped somewhere for download, just tell me)
Is there a chance to limit the number of characters in a post? Let's say 10.000 or 30.000 (optionally set by admin in CP?
