If a forum is moderated is there an option or a mod that allows to send an email to a moderator or an admin upon a post waiting for approval?

Unfortunately not in the current version. We've addressed this for version 7 along with making the moderator's life a little easier with a couple new features.

Rick, does 7 use the same DB tables and layout as 6.5 or it is all totally different. I would like to know how painful it is going to be to convert to 7.

The DB in 7 has been totally redesigned. The current DB in 6.5 has basically been cobbled together clear back from version 3. It's grown, new fields thrown on, some poor design decisions along the way which made it not scale so well.

That's why version 7 isn't just a simple upgrade even from prior versions of .threads and we'll have to actually write an importer for it. It's *completely* different. I know from your standpoint that might not be the best thing to hear <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> However it's something that's been needed for along time.

What about the Users table is it different as well. Lots of 3rd party software uses that table for integration, should I worry about that too?

Yeah, the user's table got hit as well. There wasn't a table left untouched. The users table had some very bad fields like the whole U_Groups field with the - delimeter. It's quite a hack and not the way a DB should have been designed.

Right now we've got our group of private testers. Once June 15th rolls around then it should be in public beta for all licensed users.

Please make sure that the importer deals with big forums as well. w3t_posts.sql is almost 600 megs in my case. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
