I am having extreme problems with trolls, have had to Ban about 40 usernames in the last 2 weeks (newly registered).
I am now getting PM from users about their ratings being downgraded and certain users getting PM's from users that are not wanted and are of no consequence !!!
It has been pointed out that one of them is being followed around the site, I was wondering if there was any way of disabling the 'Hide from recent visitors list' check in the user preferences ???
I have ended up not allowing certain Email accounts (hotmail/tiscali) and IP addresses to join (aol.com's).
Have you any advice on vaping trolls, I do have the registration Queue in place as well, but I have done searches, and have found out where they are coming from ....
Any advice greatly appreciated
Nate.

Sorry I missed this <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
I occasionally have troll problems - when I do I turn on user registration moderation and watch for patterns in registrations.
You can turn off the ability for users to hide by going into ubb_lib.cgi and find:
$vars_pntf{'AllowHidden'} = "yes";
change to:
$vars_pntf{'AllowHidden'} = "no";

Allen,
Sorry if I am seeming to be stupid but, Where do you enter ubb_lib.cgi , I tried after the domain name, but it is not allowing me any further.

you must edit the file, may it be through FTP or SSH or whatnot.

You'll need to open it in a text editor like notepad or ultraedit ( www.ultraedit.com ). Edit, save and re-upload
