UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums General Off Topic Groupee?

I am using ubb classic and a few months ago looked at Groupee(Eve?) as an alternative. But I was put off by a few elements of that - not only the cost which would be very expensive for a board our site.

Can someone tell me what might be good about Groupee compared to this new threads (anything?) and why someone might want to go for that rather than threads.

I think this new threads looks really good and am really looking forward to upgrading our classic.

I myself don't like the eve solution as i don't actually *own* something, i like a downloadable board, that i can hack to my hearts content <3

It just seemed to very expensive if you have a big board with no fixed charge so would involve a lot of worry.

Also I don't like the idea of one log in to lots of forums/communities.

This just seems so so much better. (Is it?)

For those of us that are here, it is better. Eve is a good turnkey solution for admins that don't want to fool around as much with the installation and maintenance of their community.
