Version 6.1.1 has been released to the Member Area for download.

Version 6.1.1 is a minor maintenance release that contains the following fixes for problems reported since version 6.1 was released.

Fixed a bug with admin/dodeleteuser not checking for the proper user number before deleting.
Fixed a bug when replying to sticky posts.
Fixed a bug with certain browsers and attachment names not being encoded properly.
Fixed a bug that was causing the img tag for the ICQ status to be displayed on the who's online screen even if it shouldn't be displayed.
Fixed a bug with the jumper box when categories are specified.
Fixed a bug with approving posts from the admin section.
Fixed several template typos.
Fixed an encoding bug in showprofile.php
Fixed a bug when adding certain markup for instant graemlins.


Upgrading should be pretty quick, there are no database changes from 6.1 and only a few files. There is a CHANGEDFILES.txt file included in the distribution that lists which files were changed.

Stefan sent the German Versíon of UBBT 6.1.1 an 04/10/2002 !
when will this be in the members AREA ?

In the Members Area is only the 6.1 of UBBT German !

The German PHP 6.1.1 .zip file** is not UBBT 6.1.1 - th is "UBB[1].threads 6-1-german.zip" ( UBBT6.1)

When replacing just the changed files does the version # usually update? I just upgraded from 6.1 to 6.1.1 and my version number is still the same. I am also using IIP if that matters

You have to edit the config file from the Admin menu to update the version number.

Also, Make sure that you replaced the ubbt.inc.php file.

hmm, I uploaded the ubbt.inc.php and it still didnt change version numbers.Any thoughts?

After you did that, did you edit your config file from the Admin menu?

That's the final step that usually updates it. During the update of the config file, it grabs the version number from ubbt.inc.php.

Oops.
Sorry. Actually the version number comes with the /admin/editconfig.php file.

Make sure you've uploaded that.... then run the config editor from the admin menu. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

From where i can have an evaluation version to test it out please? Each time i download an evaluation version of UBB.Threads I just get version 5.5.1 . Can anyone help me pleasE? Thanks

That is the current demo version. Once 6.2 final is released we will be updating it to 6.2.

so therefore i cannot have version 6 for testing before we can buy it? We found out some serious security issues in 5.5.1 and were promised they will be fixed in version 6 but we cannot test it out before we get this version. Any help?

You can check back in this forum for the Change Logs and upgrade announcements.

I think the security issue you were talking about was done in 6.0.3 ... which came out shortly before 6.1 which had the fix in place as well.

I think another "hole" was plugged up with something or other in 6.1.1 as well.

Typically anytime an issue happens.. Rick will post a fix here in this forum.

If you don't read here often... I recommend when you are viewing the list of posts in THIS FORUM... click "Pop It" at the bottom.

Then in the little window that pops up, check to receive immediate email notification of new posts in this forum (as they will usually be started by infopop). That way you'll know of an issue (or fix) immediately and can take action. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Hello I have a couple of questions. My profile doesn't allow me to create a new topic so I'm just adding a reply in a related topic, sorry.

I see that I can upgrade from classic to threads for $100. My license for classic is expired though so will I also have to purchase another year for licensing in order to upgrade which brings the total from $100 to $199?

I assume the upgrade allows you to keep all member information and threads intact?

No, you do not need to renew your .classic license first. You'll get a full year membership when you upgrade to .threads.

And yes, there is an importer that will import Members, posts, admins, mods, categories, forums, and private messages. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
