Why not incorperate a banner rotation program in threads... would that not be easy?

The goal of any message board is to run smoothly, with minimal server load. That said it would be easier to use a banner program that functions in a similar manner, such as phpads. It uses php/mysql and is very easy to implement.

I've written a very simple banner ad rotator for UBBThreads that puts the banners at the top of each page and allows you to add/remove banners as simple as adding/removing a thread to a forum. Not as extensive as phpAdsNew, but works well.
