I've got NN6 installed at last. I'm not crazy about the interface but in some ways it seems to have improved its rendering of web pages. It actually honors the stylesheet. I discovered it's the w3t stylesheet that is wrong - 'TD.header' should be just '.header'. The wrong cell height on my site was weird. I'd used < p align=right >inside the button cell - when I changed to < td align=right > instead it went back to normal.
I can't find anywhere to stop it underlining links or to make it show popup alt-tag labels. Where is that hidden?
