UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums General Suggestions and Feedback Announcement Thread

Would be very useful to have an announcement thread, that would display in all forums, or perhaps all forums that an admin chose.

This would enable the admin to get important info direct to the members - who may well ignore a 'news' forum, but may well take notice of a special sticky thread in the forum that they visit.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before - but it is frustrating when I visit other forums, using poorer software to find this essential feature as standard.

but i think amy's point was so you could cross post a sticky thread into multiple forums.. right? or did i miss the point too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

I've seen that on the free aimoo.com message boards.

Basically it's a sticky post that appears in all forums. Although JC's mod appears at the top of every screen.... which basically acomplishes the same thing... unless people tone-out the stuff at the top of the screen, and only read the postlist.
