Just thought about something, when writing a post in a moderated forum it would be nice if there was a prominent note about this fact. Just having it seen in the redirection/thankyou-page after having posted is to easy to miss, possibly making users wonder where their post went.

I thought the same thing. I can already imagin my users PMing me immediately to make sure their post went through. Is there any way something can be put there for them to know the post is in moderation?

You could add a notice in the forum information box in the control panel; something along the lines of "you're too cool for us to allow you to roam freely, moderators need to approve posts in this forum" :x

What people actually look for when they make a post is that the post actually appears in the list. If their post appeared in the list visible only to them and the mods, but when they click on it, the content of the post just said:

THIS POST HAS NOT YET BEEN APPROVED BY A MODERATOR FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY.

That would probably be the best approach.

This would need to be in addition to the other warnings as they post, etc..
