I would like to be able to remove a post icon and this post icon will automatichally removed from all messages (Substituted by "No icon" for 4.3 or by an icon choosen by the admin).
Similar thing I wish for the graemlins, I wish to be able to remove a greamlin without any impact to Forum's "layout".

Why are this features (First mostly) are so important to me ? Because I added several Post Icons an my user used them all, now I can't remove (I want a "lighter" post screen) them because this cause a "X" image simbol to display.

Sorry for my very bad English.

This would be somewhat tough to achieve. Well, it could be done but would be an extremely cpu and mysql intensive task. It would require doing a LIKE to find all posts that had the old graemlin and then doing a regex and then updating all the old posts. On forums with even a slightly significant amount of posts this would probably kill a server or timeout during the process.

Rick,

An alternative might be to add a field to the Graemlins table (visible/not visible) thus when you "removed" a greamlin, it didnt' really get deleted from the server... just got removed from the list of graemlins displayed on the post page. So no broken images.

Can't do this with post icons because it just outputs those from the directory, but that is an easier SQL Query to change post icons as B_Icon is it's own field. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Just and idea.

(I often end up manually FTPing a graemlin back up after I've removed it - like Christmas Graemlin or Haloween Graemlins - so that the images don't break.)
