I think the current banning method is very limited.

A few suggestions:
- Different levels of banning: disabling different features like PM, searching, userlist etc.
- Banned IP-check during new registration

Good idea ?

A couple of good ideas!

The flood protection per user is great (set it real high for pain-in-the-... users).

Would also be lovely to be able to approve posts on a by-user basis...
