The line ending problem is still there in 6.5. I reported it a bit over a year ago in another post an exchanged a PM about it with Rick at one point.

As part of the release process it'd be nice to run a check over the repository. Your version control system should probably "just handle it" for you if you make the releases from the appropriate platforms.
