Hi, I just got the news letter for the 8th of November and I would like to suggest that you add in the flexibility of threaded versus nonthreaded mode at the user level as we currently enjoy with threads. this feature is one of the things that my users and I have always found attractive and I can tell you from an administators point of view that it is roughly 50/50 on my board of how my users view posts. if you do as your news letter suggests and make the setting site wide instead of configureable by the users you are just introducing another learning curve for those users that are left out and causing undo conflict. Please reconsider this particualr course of action. This feature of threads is one of the main features that you will be loosing with this new product. I personaly feel your new product is taking steps backward instead of forwards by introducing such "features" to us current threads administrators.

Thank you.

Pappy, if you want to leave things as they currently are, you can. You can simply leave it unlocked and let your users switch at will. This is not a removeal of what is there, but an addtion to the ability for an admin to lock a style. Nowhere does it say you HAVE to lock it. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

For some reason I don't seem to be getting the newsletters anymore. Can someone either email the last one to me or point me to a place where the newsletter is posted online?

From my perspective (having read this thread) I'd like to show my approval towards allowing the Admin to switch off threaded mode completely. When it comes to my site it has completely no use whatsoever and I've even manually removed the feature. I understand that some people absolutely adore threaded mode (and rightly so - it's a unique characteristic of this forum software), but let's give Admins the power to decide whether they want to use it or not.
