I have succesfully installed all the components for my UBB 6.04c Forum, and fixed the control panels to correct the paths, after sending my information, the following message appeared

"Thank you! You have successfully installed your UBB!

You still need to configure/customize your message board, which you can do in your Control Panel. None of your email-oriented features will function until you configure your Email Settings there.

To continue customizing your UBB, click here!"

After clicking "click here!" I was taken back to cp.cgi "my control panel" to fill in the same paths again, no login screen was found to set my admin password in, This kept repeating [Looping] me back to the cp.cgi file, I have set the right permissions, [cgi = 755 = ASCII Mode] [variables = 777 = ASCII Mode] the only thing I did was mix the variable files with the cgi files together, I wasn't able to give the Var files it's own directory [variables] because after doing so, and calling "cp.cgi" from my browser, the following message appeared

"Error including required files: [Wed May 2 01:37:21 2001] cp.cgi: Can't locate vars_config.cgi in @INC (@INC contains: /home/satan/public_html/cgi /usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.00503 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005 .) at /home/satan/public_html/cgi/cp.cgi line 46. Make sure these files exist, permissions are set properly, and paths are set correctly."

I am clueless onto what to do to fix this problem, some help or advice would be great <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Make sure all your vars files are there and their permissions are set to 777.

i've had the same problems setting it up on a hypermart account. So far the setup went fine, cp.cgi good, and then it loops. I put all variables into the cgi-bin directory and everything is chmodded correctly(i'm sure of that)
I have a 6.04c version. HELP!

Make sure the the members directory's permissions are set to 777.

I had the same issue and set that and then I was able to continue configuring.

I also set the cgi-bin dir to 777 but I don't think I need to do that.
