Hi All,

I just moved my message board to a new Plesk powered server. All seems ok, after much grief, however when I am in a forum and I click on the link to bring me to the top, it works. However, if I login when the page loads the ultimatebb.php I get an error that the page can not be found. In the logfile I find,

script not found or unable to stat:/"path to cgi bin"/ultimatebb.cgi&r=nfx, referer:/"path to cgi bin"/ultimatebb.cgi? ubb=forum;f=4;hardset=0;start_point=0;DaysPrune=0&r=nfx

When I moved the server, did I mess something up with the members? I can still login fine to the control panel.

This particular problem is due to open_basedir restrictions on your server. To fix, open ultimatebb.php, and find:
Code
	if (!$fx) {
		$location = figurelocation();
and change figurelocation(); to figurelocation(1);

I reported this a couple of months ago, so it will probably be fixed in 6.7.3.

Hmmm, I edited the ultimatebb.php and changed the figurelocation however it makes no difference. I login to the board, click on a forum and then a topic, when I select the link in the border which takes me back to the top level of my board, the browser error says,

The requested URL /cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi&r=nfx was not found on this server

Previously, on my old apache server things were running fine... Is it possible, I did not move something over correctly?

Thank you for your help,

There must be another place that nfx is being called which is triggering the error.

The problem is that apache as the open_basedir restriction enabled, which means that ultimatebb.php cannot read the members directory in the /cgi-bin.

Try changing this one:
Code
	if(!preg_match("/^d{8}$/", $var)) {
		$location = figurelocation();
to figurelocation(1); and see if that fixes the error. That's the only other reference to r=nfx in ultimatebb.php.

This error will only occur the first visit to the boards for a new day when you visit ultimatebb.php. If you visit ultimatebb.cgi for your first visit, you will not see the error.

As a follow-up, I went back and removed the first fix you asked me to make and the problem came back.. Put the (1) back in and it's working again.

Thanks again.

I, too, run on Plesk and suffered from the same problem before I turned off open_basedir on my VPS <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I had the same issue on dctalksolo.com the one I had to edit was:
Code
	if (!$fx) {
		$location = figurelocation();
Otherwise 404 city... I tried using just the other as Ron sugguested:
Code
	if(!preg_match("/^d{8}$/", $var)) {
		$location = figurelocation();
But no go

Right, the first one should be the only one. The 8 digit one is the only other reference. It doesn't hurt to change both, it just injects a ? for the query string. I reported the !$fx already as a bug.

Heres a bug for you, with applying what i said on <a href="" target="_blank">this</a> post, the Recent Visitors won't allow users to click on differant pages... well it allows it but it just doesn't work lol... (6.7.2) upon reverting (or deactivating the accelerator) it works fine :/..
