I spent a lot of time customizing my Forums including icons, buttons, avatars, emoticons and HTML inserts. Will upgrading from 6.7.2 to 6.7.3 change any of my customizations? Will I need to save my styles and back-up my custom images and reinstall everything or do the upgrade changes have no affect on these items?

To be honest, I have never had any problems with my Forums and it works flawlessly. I am the type of person that believes updates serve a purpose otherwise they would not exist but do I really need to install this upgrade for MY benefit and not just to update YOUR company name and logo?

All of your styles will not be affected, if you have created new styles with your buttons separate. If you just overwrote the stock image files, you will have to recustomize.

If you alter the templates directly, they will be affected.

also, we would recommend you take a backup of your board prior to upgrading, or make sure your host has a backup, just in case you accidentally overwrite something, but ron is correct: you will not lose any of your customizations, provided you've made them via the control panel, and not via the templates.
