I'm trying to set up the paths for the UBB classic and it is informing me that the path must start with a drive letter Ie. d: or e:

The server that I am setting up the forum on is using a network access storage server which has an absolute path of Ie.

nasserverhomeusernamewww

instead of

d:homeusernamewww

My question is:
is there any way to bypass this or is it manditory for the path to start with a Drive letter?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

It really is best to start the absolute path with drive letters; it's convention for Win32 systems, I suppose. Contact your host and ask them for the drive letter and full path in which your UBB is stored. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Does the forum work when using paths like:

nasserverhomeusernamewww

?

If so, then you're ok... drive letters aren't used on most servers, usually only windows. If the server knows how to find the file using the referenced path, then that's all that really matters <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
