I know Angelfire doesn't support CGI/Perl. I'm am unfamiliar with netfirms. Make sure they support CGI and Perl.

Here are the minimum requirements for UBB:
 • Perl 5.004 or higher - Most web servers have Perl installed, but check to make sure before you try installing the UBB™. Note that Perl 5.004 or higher is required; the UBB™ will not run with Perl 4. Your Perl version must also include the Fnctl, strict, Cgi, and vars modules, which are standard in Perl 5.004 and higher.
 • CGI Access - You must have the ability to run custom CGI scripts on your web server.
 • FTP Access - You must have the ability to FTP to your web server so that you can upload the UBB™ files.
 • SMTP Email Server - To utilize the email features of the UBB™, you must have an email account on the web server you are using. However, if you are on a UNIX web server, you can get around this requirement by using the standard UNIX sendmail program. Note: the demo version of the UBB™ does not have any email features and thus there are no email server requirements for that version.

Installing UBB requires some basic knowledge of CGI/Perl. You might consider getting a book or seeking assistance from a friend that is more experienced. You may also have Infopop install UBB for you, click here for more information.

Learning the basics and doing it yourself is probably the best method as you'll become more experienced over time and more familiar with the program so you can upgrade it yourself when updates are released and also be able to install hacks if you should desire to in the future.

In the help directory of your .zip file is step by step instructions as to what files to put where, how to set permissions and what to do in order to install your UBB. We also have guides aviilable for download here.

Please note that Angelfire does not support UBB. I do not know about netfirms, I am not familiar with them.

Also while I do understand that you have frustrations please do accept that being abusive is not the answer.

I am also willing to be of help. I can be reached at []dave@infopop.com.[/] Please include name, license number (NOT! password!) and any ftp information I will need to help you along.

<sigh>

We've tried even while you have been abusive via the boards and via email.

You've mailed Doug a number that does not in anyway at all resemble an Infopop license number and continued to be abusive. This thread is closed and your posting abilities removed until you provide a valid license number.
