UBB Version: UBB.classic 6.2.1.3
Changes: Upgraded from 6.05
Issue: Trying to post a message and get the following:
Error
An error has occured:

Can't reset permissions on profile 00000001: Operation not permitted at .../public_html/cgi-bin/ubb_new_topic.cgi line 385.

Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem. Thank you!

I went through the install guide again and check permissions, still the same error. Any ideas?

What permissions do you have set on your vars files and on your Members directory?

The cgi-bin is set to 755. The var file in it are 777.
The members directory is also set to 777

Anyone else have any ideas? I'd hate to have to reinstall the whole thing <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Please contact your web hosting provider with the error message. Ask why the script is not being permitted to reset permissions on that file.

Found the issue. The my member file had the wrong permission on it. Is there a list of all files with what permission they should have?

UBB datafiles should be 666 or 777. UBB data directories should also be 666 or 777.
