How does Ultimate BB handle board loading?

I mean, if a forum has, for some reason, lots of people trying to respond to the same topic, can Ultimate BB deal with this without getting everything cross-linked.

I was using another board during a union strike a couple of years ago and very often I would get quite a few people trying to reply to the same post at the same time and the posts often got crosslinked.

I'm just wondering if this is something that can happen with Ultimate BB? We have another contract coming up for a vote in a short while

UBB6 has had a problem with such situations, but the latest version 6.1.0.2 uses a brute force file locking system to try to deal will that. The result is that files are protected, but there could be a slow-down when many users are trying to post.
