None of these files are being written to during a registration at my ubb. last_number.cgi contains the number "328", which is right. Each time i register a name, member file 00000329.cgi is being over written with the new information. The files last_number.cgi, memberslist.cgi, public_names.cgi are not being updated.

I know there are other people having the same error, i've seen numerous unanswered posts around here and ubbdev.

Please ensure that permissions AND ownership are correct on both the Members directory and the files in question.

I have done that numerous times, i still keep getting the same old thing back. (that being nothing at all expect a rewritten, unindexed member file)

Did you follow the upgrade instructions TO THE LETTER, including running the ubb_test script?
