Hi
I upgraded again. (6.2.1.2)
In the process - I got an error re : a zero byte file.
[I *did* however remember previous posts about this - and remembered a 'partition error'(!) my ISP told me about]
Anyway,
In a minor panic - I figured that I couldn't just delete the file [because I don't know how UBB tracks files] so I inserted the contents of a nearby thread (the smallest file I could find) into the zero byte file.
Are you following so far?
Anyhow - the upgrade now went smoothly - and my board is working well.
The point I am trying to make is....
Have I done something potentially dangerous?
Should I replace the erroneous files with a single byte?
(I didn't do that originally - as I thought that maybe UBB would be "looking" for something...)
If that sounds stupid - I am not a programmer.....!
Anyway - I could ramble on forever - so I'll stop now and just ask for your comments.
Thanks guys - as always.
You *never* let me down.
cheers,
d.
