UBB can't handle words over 30 characters? Someone posted the following on my board (the problem is real, their comments are not)

--- --- ---

"Achtung, Herr Doktor Autor! Ich will into English descendentagen!

Why are words 30-letters-and-longer not allowed on this fine bulletin board? I recently produced a very fine Deutsche word with 47 letters, and the bulletin board rejected it and my entire message!

Alas! My brilliance! Lost! I may sue!

Can you do anything about this problem?"

What were contained within the words?
I post words over 30 letters all the time.

What does he mean rejected? What was the exact nature of the error?

I can find out the answers to both questions - when I do, I'll post here...

PSST: the "30 character straight" restriction applies to subjects only, IIRC.

There to prevent table distortion I believe.

FYI - due to internationalization issues, the "run on word" limit is now changable using the Misc Settings cpanel in 6.04.
