Are you upgrading from a 5 series or is this a new install? If upgrade did you run the upgrade script BEFORE logging into the control panel? Did you run the Update members post historys yet? Rebuild forum stat files??
Yup. Did all you said (and no, ran uprade before logging in).
I think I MAY have found out. It seems that most of the ones I've tracked so far are having errors due to members whom I had changed their username (by the method stated in the forums here). for example, I changed user1 to username2. the old user1 names were just listed as unregistered. But now they seem to be causing troubles.
I have been looking at the file/folder structure looking for anything that might stick out.
Don't know if this means anything or not but in the cache-mysecrectname/ubb_files/forum_page folder there is a folder for all my forum except for the two that are giving me the "no member profile error"
Would using the "Clear Cache" option under Maintenance help ?
Tried that and it didn't help! I can't even see the Forum Summary Page! If I do a Search and find a post I can go through all the forums but if I goto the Forum Summary page it gives me that message. My Site has been down since 8:00 am and would really like to get it up, if one of the UBB Support people would like to gain access to my site to look into this problem let me know.
Thanks!
Ryan

If you have deleted a member but there are still posts from that user it will cause this error. I used the prune option and deleted a post from a member that I deleted and voila !
I haven't deleted anyone for a long time! There has to be a fix for this!!!

Yes I am sure they will have a fix. As it is now you would have to figure out who you have deleted and either delete the posts from that old user or create a user of the same name.
With UBB5 series it would just mark those users as unregistered. I would think a simple bit of code that would say IF member profile = null them member number = unregistered.
Looks like this will be going to bugs...Glad I didn't upgrade my other UBB ! Man I would have been in a world of hurt. I feel for ya Ryan.
Until they come out with a fix try identifing the deleted uses and recreate them. This way at least you won't have to delete posts.

...this is because the forum view and subsiquint pages were never looked at hence never chached...
Surely, if a member was deleted then the threads updated, this would have removed any posts by that member? and secondly how are you supposed to remember who you ever deleted? Could really do with some input here Infopop? Want to get my board back up tonight if possible! <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

From my understanding a thread update does not delete any posts. So if you deleted a user his posts would still remain, unless you ran a 'delete all posts by user' before you deleted the user.
I was lucky to have in production a minuscule BBS. So I was able to identify the users I deleted and quickly identify the posts by them in the prune posts view. On a board that has a lot of users and posts this is a nightmare, I most certainly agree. But I am 99% sure this is the cause.
Why this was not caught in the private beta trails though escapes me. I am sure Infopop is inundated with trouble tickets. But this one should be at the very top of the list, with high priority.
