I'm on my local machine for testing purposes.
I did the download this morning.
Followed the Upgrade to Current Release(from Trial or Earlier Licensed Version).
When I get to Part 3 of the instructions, which tells me enter the control panel I get the following error:

Software error:
(RequireCode) C:/ActiveWebs/bhweb/cgi-local/ubb-non-cgi/Templates/public_common.pl: Undefined subroutine &main::LoadCPTemplate called at C:/ActiveWebs/bhweb/cgi-local/ubb-non-cgi/Templates/public_common.pl line 1368.

I've been able to restore Ver 6.5.0 and have my test area running again, but I don't need this to happen when I try to upgrade the live ver. on the server.
Can anybody tell me what I might have missed on the upgrade I did?
I've read the instructions over and over. I've also search for the "LOADCPTemplate" and can't find it anywhere!!

did you make sure you overwrote all the files? (except vars_* files, they stay)

I paid particular close attention to those instructions. There were only a few that I had to move because they didn't exist in 6.5.0.

LoadCPTemplate is in cp2_lib.cgi. Please ensure that you copied the file over properly...

Charles: I followed the instruction very carefully and anything looks OK.
I'm going download the full release and try again.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but installing a full release will NOT cause me to lose my forums when I upgrade the live BB????

as long as you don't upload the vars_*.cgi files, nothing should change

Larry, just to note for you, the vars_ files contain all of your settings... If you don't overwrite them, no settings will be changed.

You might want to look at opening up a support ticket if you can't figure things out.

Finally got back to this problem!!!
I downloaded the full release zip files and installed it that way.
It's working just fine. Not sure what may have happen to the upgrade attempt, it is possible that I fat fingered something when selecting the vars files that were new.
Thanks to all who responded.
It never ceases to amaze me how "unknown" people stick together and help other "unknowns" solve problems.
Makes it all worthwhile.
Thanks again.

The reason I suggested the full zip is because I had a feeling you might have used the upgrade zip that only did from 6.6.x to 6.6.2
