Hi All,
Does anyone have any clue why users using IE (latest version with auto-updates) would all of a sudden have problems with the forums freezing up on them? I use IE on 3 different computers and the forums work flawlessly for me. I know that I need to upgrade (using 6.5.0) and I'm sure that will be Charles' first recommendation <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> but I thought I'd just ask if anyone has heard of anything changing on the IE side that could be causing this. I did move a ton of topics to my "archive" forum a few weeks ago and performed UBB maintenance; it didn't appear to help. The users who are having the problems are fine with Netscape.
At about 5:00 AM, I will be performing full maintenance, just to troubleshoot further.
Thanks for your thoughts and time!
Bill

I haven't heard of any issues with it; I'm running the latest build of IE and was running 6.5 up until about 2 weeks ago...
How about a link to your board? Have you installed any modifications to the stock code of your board?

http://www.jackrussells.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi is the URL to the forums. There were a few modifications to the stock code several years back but I think all of those have been lost with upgrades. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I will open a support ticket if the problem persists. I just wanted to find out of anyone else had recently heard of similar problems. Thanks! Bill

His issue was due to errors in his scripts that were added. His board was giving off errors galore. at http://www.undergroundnews.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi I'm running the latest final of UBB.Classic with the spider function on.
