We are using UBB.classic 6.7

Whenever someone tries to post they are receiving this message. (This issue just started this morning)

"We cannot post your topic because the subject does not contain at least one letter or number. Use your back button to try again."


However, if they use a non character in the subject such as '!' they are able to post their message. People are able to reply to other messages.

Our disk space is fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

Can you provide a few examples of topic subjects that are being rejected?

I can click "New Topic", then in the subject put Test and in the body of the message I just put test and then click the Add New Topic button, I recieve the message -

"We cannot post your topic because the subject does not contain at least one letter or number. Use your back button to try again.

If I use 'test as the subject (note the ' mark before test) then put test in the body, the topic is posted, but the body is blank. However, if someone responds to the message, their message shows up fine.

I guess this is also impacting our private messages as well.

Looks like this issue is also occuring with our Private Messages. I just tried to send someone a private message, I filled out the subject and the body and clicked send and it gave me this error message.

The form you submitted appears to be incomplete!
You did not complete: topic_subject

I decided to disable the censor and now we are able to post.

How very odd. The last reports of the censor causing this problem were back in the 6.0x days...

Could you open up a support ticket please, including your admin username & password? I'd like to look at your censor. (I do not require FTP information at this time.)

In the ticket body, please include the URL to this topic, and a request that the ticket be assigned to me.
