Our disk space usage dropped down suddenly 57Mb (from 173Mb to 116Mb) during 24 hour period and since we weren't doing any major updates on our site I think the only reason for this could be UBB cacheing system (did it just clear itself?). I also asked our ISP about this and they thought it got to have something to do with UBB. So could anybody tell me what's happening and if it's normal.

Seems like UBB is using the disk space much more than it's supposed to. It's growing like 1-3Mb everyday (even on slow days)and then suddenly the need of disk space goes down as much as 57Mb. This makes it very hard to estimate our need of disk space.

Is the solution that i start clearing cache on regular basis...?

We are running UBB.classic 6.3.0.1 and we have about 1600 registered users. Amount of daily posts is around 5-30/day.

This sounds about right - the cache will build up, then something can cause it to be cleared out. (Many control panel actions can clear part or all of the cache.)

In general, your board will need about 150% more disk space than it uses with an empty cache, at most.
