PLEASE DISREGARD. I FOUND THE ANSWER
In preparation for opening my board, I've experimented by registering several fictitious people, but with real email addresses of mine or my wife's. I've now deleted all of those board members. But when trying again to register one of them, I received the following message:
"The login or public display name that you are trying to use has been reserved by an existing member. Please select another."
But this can't be true, because there are no existing members except me, as the administrator, and I don't use any of the real email addresses that I've reserved for the fictitious registrants. How can I effectively clear this old information from the board's memory?
PLEASE DISREGARD. I DISCOVERED THAT THE WAY TO DO THIS IS TO REBUILD THE MEMBERS METADATA.
