I have a user who says:

The UBB displays "You are not logged in", but when I try to log in I get a message stating "You are already logged in".

Is there a way (short of deleting the user and having him re-register) to overcome this?

Rich have him delete all his cookies for the site. Then be sure he is indeed accepting new cookies. The "you are not loogged in" while bein glogged in is usually indicative of a cookie problem. Could be not accepting new ones, or not allowing existing ones to be updated, or just a broke one hanging around in the browser.
