I am having very strange problems with my board. The board will run smoothly, and then all of the sudden, it will show up as having threads either deleted or empty. This is intermittent and this is also frequent. I have always had this problem and rebuilding would sometimes retrieve the threads, but now that I have upgraded to the most recent version of classic, and as I am rebuilding, I am getting an error code that states it cannot find the vars_misc. file. Also, the board does not show up.I am having to re-install both the vars_misc file and the cp.cgi. The board will then run smoothly until the next "burp" and I have to go thru this all over again. Tonight became exceptionally difficult. Anyone know what is wrong? We are on a Unix server with Netfirms.com. Our board link can be found at elvisradio.org.

sounds like the server has issues - unless someone else has control panel and/or ftp access, then it would have to be a server issue. classic is extremely stable on stable hosts <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

are you able to turn on the accelerator (ultimatebb.php)?

yes, I have run it with the accelerator on, and now without...oh well....just installed the new UBBThreads. Everyone seems to like it and it is seeming to run much better than Classic did.

hehe, classic is stable and runs well, really sounds like someone is doing stuff in there. At least turn on admin logging in threads <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
