email notifications to moderators of messages posted seem no longer to be sent. is there a way of re-enabling this??

This is an option in the moderators preferences at the very bottom.

i cannot seem to find "moderator's preferences"; i am looking under "Forums/Moderator Settings". are moderator preferences perhaps set elsewhere as well?

The moderator themselves have this option. When editing their preferences in the My Stuff area.
