can anyone assist: i can't get email notifications for forum postings working. i want the moderator to get a copy of all posting made to his/her forum. how is this done? i can't find any option anywhere that will allow this.
silly question: is there an actual manual for ubbthreads vs 7? sometimes, many of the option labels in the system set up screens use truncated language that begs further explaination.

The only way they'd get a "full posting" is if post moderation was on. And I dont' think we have a V7 manual yet, but it'd be in documentation... https://www.ubbcentral.com/docs.php

so you do mean, in this version email notification is only done in the event the message has to be approved by the moderator before being posted onto the board?
thanks for the link! that was what i was looking for.

I'm relatively sure that is how email notifications have always worked, on a "only if post requires approval" basis...

no, not at all! version 6 allowed email notification of all postings to be sent to the forum moderator. this feature meant that i -- and others -- could keep track of what was happening in the forums without actually having to BE constantly logged into the site. it also meant that i had a back up reference for messages on my own hard-drive, that could not be deleted by users.

All you need to do is add the forum(s) to your Watch List and then enable immediate email notification for that forum.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but can you tell me where to find the Watch List?

You can find your Watch Lists in your "My Stuff" area.

Ahh, again, missunderstanding what you wanted :tear:...
You can add a forum to your watchlist from the "Forum Options" dropdown on the forum display page (the dropdown can be found to the right of the "New Topic" button)
You can view, and edit, your "watchlist" from "My Stuff" -> "My Watchlists".
And you can turn on "Email Notifications" for items individually from the "My Watchlists" page by clicking on "Edit Watched Forums" (from the Watched Forums tab ofcoarse).
