I have just upgraded my Classic board to 6.7.3 (preparing to move to Threads), and was correcting the spelling of a user's post when I noticed that the board adds the "edited by" when an administrator edits a post.

I have set the "Mark messages edited by users" option unchecked, and when a user edits, no edited by message shows up. I had to log in as the user to remove the "edited by" line.

Is there a way to completely stop the "edited by" line?

Not on classic without modifying the code.

Threads 7.1 will allow admins and moderators to choose to not "mark post as edited" when modifying a post made by another user. 7.0 already allows this for all members, but I'm not sure if there's a global setting for it or not like there was in Classic...
