OK, I suppose I am just overlooking this...but is it possible to update and customize the faq's on the new threads version?

Yes there is. I'll have to dig around in my install to find it for you first.

Control Panel - Languages - Language Editor - faq.php

This should be what you are looking for.

If you are adding Q´s you may also need to alter the FAQ template.
