We've just upgraded to 7.1 beta 3. We'll run this for a few days here and let our private beta testers have at it and then if all goes well we'll get this out to the Members Area.
This update mainly fixes a few bugs, adds a new stylesheet class for the mouseovers on the active topics page and also moves the CAPTCHA images and fonts into a different directory that will make installation a bit more foolproof.

I might have to redo that section then. Odd that it's just a simple onmouseover/onmouseout.

Stan, if you were here earlier today before I did the upgrade you may need to shift/reload or close your browser completely to get the updated javascript file.

Actually I found the problem, just need to find the fix. What happens is when you mouseover on safari, it puts the div right under your mouse, so you no longer can "mouseout" of the original link. Need to figure out how to force the div to be displayed below the link like it does with other browsers.

Just a note on the public release of this beta. Lots of people on vacation here right now so we might not get this out for another week or two. There are a few lingering bugs lying around, so while I was planning on releasing beta 3 to the public, I'll just start on a beta 4 and get as many bugs/issues fixed during this time as I can.
A bit more of a delay than I'd hoped for, but if things go well, then we may end up only needing a single public beta before we can go final and I can start on 7.2.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I was just wondering what the normal process/timeline is for a new version (say 7.1) to go from being beta to being a full-up version released to the members?

I'd expect this one to go fairly quick. We'll release beta 4 to the members area next week. I can't imagine it will be in beta for very long as beta 3 has been running here for quite awhile already.

Yeh, once it rolls out on UBBCentral and the bewta sites and is used with no big showstopper errors, it'll end up released to the wild...
