It'd be great to have the img tag support the align attribute. This can make for more aesthetically pleasing news and article style posts. I've read that a blog feature will eventually make its way into a major release, so I'm pretty sure this should be something that it supports. But, I'd really appreciate seeing this feature in perhaps a minor release!

You could try: [align:center][img]http://www.url.to/image.ext[/img][/align]

From what I understand, the align attribute controls more than just the location of the image. It affects how neighbouring text wraps around it. See the attachment in Quoting posts with HTML as reference.

I believe float is what allows text to wrap around an image; align should align text or an image to a specific area. (at least if I can understand what you're wanting, i'm half asleep

Just to put this to bed, apparently there are some undocumented(?) codes which do exactly this: [img:left]IMGURL[/img]
[img:right]IMGURL[/img]
Thanks to Ian Spence for bringing this to my attention.

He'd know best, since he made those parts of UBBCode...
